This is the last Will and Testament of me Kate Maria Monk of 42 Stanhope Grove, Beckenham, Kent made this 17th day of June 1947.
I hereby revoke all Wills made by me at any time heretofore.
I appoint Walter E Bromley of 42 Stanhope Grove, Beckenham, Kent, and my brother Henry Easterling, of The Larches, High Road, Mottingham to be my executors, and direct that all my depts and funeral expenses shall be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.
I give and bequeath unto
My sister Florence Annie Carter the sum of 25 pounds (twenty-five pounds) and any of my wearing apparel she may care to have
To my sister Louise Carter the sum of ten pounds
To my daughter in law Annie Mercer of 64 Petteril Street, Carlisle the sum of twenty-five pounds
To my daughter in law Elizabeth Mercer the sum of fifty pounds
To my granddaughters Olive Rose Mercer, Marjorie Florence Lee, Vera Gwendoline Richards, the sum of twenty pounds each
To Lily Fisher of 80 Salehurst Road, Brockley the sum of twenty pounds
To Edith Maud Best of 10 Wakefield Gardens, Beckenham the sum of twenty pounds
The remainder and residue of my estate to be divided equally between my granddaughters and my daughter in law Elizabeth Mercer. Should any of my legatees predecease me then their legacy to be added to the residue of my estate for division as aforesaid

Administration granted to Walter Edward Bromley of 42 Stanhope Grove aforesaid (retired hairdresser) one of the executors named in the said will. Power reserved to the other executor.
