Sweetapple Court in London's East End was named after Sir John Sweetapple, goldsmith and Sheriff of the City of London in 1695.
Sweetapple Court was in the Parish of St Matthew Bethnal Green. If you have a copy of Horwoods maps of 1799-1819 (A-Z of Regency London,) you will find it if you turn right (east) immediately north of St Leonard's Church into Austin Street, and after a couple of blocks turn left into Sweet Apple Court. The area has been altered considerably over the years, but Austin Street is still on the modern map, and at a guess, Sweetapple Court was approximately where Gascoigne Place is now

John Strype's Survey of London Online
Sweet Apple Court, so called from Sir John Sweetapple, Goldsmith, the Owner thereof, a good handsome new built place, with an open Passage for Carts: This Place before its new building was two, viz. Soper's Alley and Horseshoe Yard; the upper end of this Court, or rather Lane, is taken up for Stables for Livery Horses, with Coach Houses.

Sanitary Ramblings, Being Sketches and Illustrations of Bethnal Green, by Hector Gavin, 1848
SWEET APPLE-COURT
The gutter in the centre of this court was very filthy; garbage was strewn about, the privies were quite full and dilapidated. Each house has water supplied to it, but by a cock let through the wall; and as the house is parcelled out, whenever the person who inhabits the first floor is from home, and the door therefore locked, no one can procure water. This may happen when the water is on, and a great difficulty in obtaining it may thence arise. From the dripping of the water-pipe the place had become damp, and on opening the door, a horrid odour of nastiness, like putrid paste, was found to pervade the room.
